Looking for sign industry project manager jobs? United Signs is hiring experienced PMs who already know the business. If you have managed real signage projects from kickoff to close-out, we want to talk to you.
In short, this is a role for proven professionals. There are two paths, so PMs with or without their own customers can apply.
If you are searching for sign industry project manager jobs, here is what we are looking for.
What Sign Industry Project Manager Jobs Require
We are not looking for people we have to train. We want project managers who already have deep knowledge of sign design, the sign industry and sign project management.
The requirement: at least 3 years of actual project management experience in the sign industry. However, general sales experience alone does not meet this requirement, and this is not an entry-level or general construction PM role.
For example, you should already be comfortable with:
- Reading plans, specifications, surveys and shop drawings
- Managing budgets, schedules and vendors
- Handling approvals, permits and engineering requirements
- Coordinating fabrication, freight and installation
- Running punch lists and project close-out
So if you have done this on channel letters, monument signs, digital displays or architectural and wayfinding programs, you are the PM we want to hear from.
Remote Sign Industry Project Manager Jobs
United Signs has its headquarters in Norcross, Georgia, but we are also looking for experienced project managers elsewhere in the USA. Remote opportunities are available for PMs who coordinate customers, vendors, schedules, budgets and project completion.
However, remote work takes discipline. For that reason, you need to keep schedules current, document approvals, and communicate before problems grow.
Two Paths to Join Us
Path 1: You Have Your Own Customers
Bring your sign customers to a team with engineering, design, fabrication and installation resources behind you.
For PMs with customers, we can discuss opportunities for up to a 50% payout of net project profit under agreed compensation terms. Please note that this is a share of net project profit, not project revenue, and it is not guaranteed. The net profit definition, eligible work and payout timing are confirmed in your written agreement.
Path 2: You Do Not Have Your Own Customers
No customer base? You are still welcome to apply. Your delivery experience and industry knowledge have real value. Therefore, if you meet the experience requirement, we want to hear from you.
What You Would Work On
We provide architectural signage, digital displays, engineering, design, consulting and project management for hotels, healthcare facilities, government agencies, universities, corporate campuses, general contractors and small businesses.
In this role, you would be the main contact for clients, architects, contractors, vendors and installers, and you would work alongside our sales, design, estimating, accounting and operations teams.
Is This the Right Fit?
This role suits you if you:
- Have 3 or more years of actual sign industry PM experience
- Know sign design, fabrication and installation well
- Protect project profitability
- Manage several projects and deadlines at once
- Work well on your own
